Corporate Social Responsibility Policy


INTRODUCTION

Sowparnika Projects and Infrastructure Private Limited (‘Sowparnika’ or‘the Company’) being a responsible company, stands committed to improve the quality of life of people in the society. Ever since its inception,the Company has been actively involved in serving the community, especially in the field of Education and related ventures.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy of Sowparnika which largely articulates the existing CSR policy of Sowparnika in practice and makes it more congruent with the framework provided by the Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.

Sowparnika Vidhya Vistār:

Vidhya Vistār is Sowparnika’s dedicated CSR activity aimed at improving access to quality education for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through this initiative, we strive to create a more equitable educational landscape and empower future generations with the tools they need to succeed.

Sowparnika is dedicated to driving positive change through Vidhya Vistār and other CSR activities. We believe that by supporting education, we can help build a brighter future for children and communities.

FOCUS AREAS

In accordance with the requirements under the Companies Act, 2013, Sowparnika CSR activities, amongst others, will focus on:

Fighting hunger and poverty, promoting health care and sanitation, and supporting the Swachh Bharat Kosh for clean water.
Promoting education and vocational skills, especially for children, women, the elderly, and the differently-abled, along with livelihood enhancement projects.
Promoting gender equality, empowering women, and establishing homes for women, orphans, and senior citizens, including old age homes and day care centers. Also working to reduce inequalities for socially and economically disadvantaged groups.
Promoting environmental sustainability through flora and fauna protection, animal welfare, agroforestry, and resource conservation, including supporting the Clean Ganga Fund.
Protecting national heritage, art, and culture by restoring historical buildings and artworks, setting up public libraries, and promoting traditional arts and crafts.
Supporting armed forces veterans, war widows, and their dependents through various measures and benefits
Providing training to promote rural sports, nationally recognized sports, Paralympic sports, and Olympic sports.
Contributing to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund or other Central Government funds for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, minorities, and women.
Providing contributions or funds to technology incubators within academic institutions approved by the Central Government.
Any other measures with the approval of Board of Directors on the recommendation of CSR Committee subject to the provisions of Section 135 of Companies Act, 2013 and rules made there-under;
